Isn’t she a beauty? This composite image was released earlier in the week and was taken by NASA’s VIIRS instrument (which is on a fairly new satellite called Suomi NPP).

“Suomi NPP is NASA’s next Earth-observing research satellite. It is the first of a new generation of satellites that will observe many facets of our changing Earth,” NASA stated in a release.

Can’t wait to see more.
